What are the Requirements?
If you have a food need, we want to help meet your need. For your privacy, we don’t require proof of income, identification, social security number, or proof of residency. We will ask for your name, the number of people in your household, and your phone number.
Call or come into MCO during office hours (Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm) to sign up for a food basket. We ask that you do this 24 hours in advance.

How Do I Get My Food Basket?
The food pantry distributes food baskets every week. Take advantage of our convenient drive up to pick up your basket or if you prefer, you can walk in or come by bus – there are four bus stops within a four blocks radius of our building, and the ground transportation center is also nearby.
Call or stop in to reserve a distribution spot. We ask that you do this 24 hours in advance.
MCO may adjust distribution dates around the holidays and the weather. If there is a weather cancellation, we will call to let you know and reschedule if possible.
How Often Can I Get a Food Basket?
Currently, a household can sign up for one food basket a week.
What’s in a Food Basket?
Your food basket will contain both perishable and shelf-stable food. The contents are dependent on donations and availability.
The following are items typically found in the food basket.
- Beans
- Box Potatoes
- Bread
- Cake or Cookie Mix
- Canned Meat
- Cereal
- Crackers or Muffin Mix
- Fruit
- Helper Meals
- Macaroni and Cheese
- Meat
- Milk
- Pancake Mix
- Pasta or Noodles
- Peanut Butter
- Produce
- Rice
- Spaghetti Sauce
- Soup
- Vegetables
